Cute Is What We Aim For takes aim at summer trek

Alt-rockers Cute Is What We Aim For [ tickets ] have carved out a hefty summer tour schedule behind the impending release of the band's sophomore effort, "Rotation."The headlining run kicks off the week before the new album's release, starting with a June 15 show in Pittsburgh, PA. The group plans to visit 45 cities during the trek, which runs well into August. Dates are below.The band is preparing for a brief UK run before launching the US tour; the full overseas schedule can be found at Cute's official website."Rotation"--the group's second studio set, following 2006's "The Same Old Blood Rush with a New Touch"--is scheduled to hit store shelves June 24. The first single from the forthcoming album, "Practice Makes Perfect," was used earlier this year on an episode of MTV's reality/drama program "The Hills." "Practice" and one other song from the new album, "Doctor," both feature guest vocals from Bert McCracken of The Used."Rotation" is the first Cute Is What We Aim For recording to feature new bassist Dave Melillo, who replaced founding member Fred Cimato in March.
